Almost no unity been around among people of this corporation which induced them to become doomed right from the start. To fire-jump everything must be in oneness in order for typical men to commit their lives for the job. Electrical power struggles and cultural norms impeded group cohesion leading to sub-groups and ambiguity along the way. Organizations are coalitions of various individuals and interest groups. The smoke-jumpers were a small coalition made up of mostly small inexperienced men, whose major interest was to make all the money as they could. However were a couple of experienced people among the group, the foreman Dodge, plus the second in command Hellman among them. Dodge, an ex girlfriend or boyfriend fire-jumper teacher, held almost all of the power inside the coalition which includes, authority, positional, intellectual and experience.
